A similarity about the two celebrations is that they both play games. Two more similarities is that they both have dancing and eacch night they both light a candle.
Next I will tell you about the differences about the two holidays. One difference about Kwanzaa is that they eat fruits, vebetables, soups, fish, and cookies. A difference between Hanukkah is that they eat latkes. Another difference about Hanukkah is that they celebrate their day with blue and white starts and gold and silver dreidels. Another difference about Kwanzaa is that they tell stories. A difference about Hanukkah is that it is a Jewish celebration. A difference about Kwanzaa is that it is an Afircan American celebrations.
In conclusion, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa have lots of differences and similarities.

My Magic Glasses
Then after a while the glasses started to show me the present. I saw myself having my ninth birthday and getting a skateboard. Then I saw myself going to Hawaii to visit my cousins. Going to Hawaii was really fun. We stayed there for about two weeks. Then the glasses showed me starting fourth grade and meeting new friends. Then they showed me walking and finding the glasses.
Then the glasses started to show me the future.
It showed me entering fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth grade. It showed me going to Mayo High School. It showed me going to a nice college.
Finally I took the glasses off and put them back down for the next person to find.

Girls and Boys Together or Not
Here are some of the advantages of having all boy or all girl classes. Scholastic News says that "supporters of the change say that boys and girls learn diferently so they should be taught differently." Another advantage is that when they're together they can't concentrate and can't do their work.
A disadvantage is that sometimes the girls can help the boys or the boys can help the girls so if they're apart they won't be able to help each other and that might be a problem.
I like splitting them up and keeping them together.

The WIld Deer
A deer roamed through the forest. It had black antlers, hazelnut colored fur sprinkled with snow rippling in the wind It had golden hooves. It smelled of a fragrance so sweet I cant explain it. It smelled like honey made 1 minute ago.
Two foxes came up and nuzzled the deer. The deer nuzzled them back. The foxes then jumped on the lovely deer’s back and the deer galloped through the forest with the foxes on its back. Then they came back smiling with glee. They kissed the deer and ran off.
Then it saw me oh no I thought now it’s going to run really fast away BUT..... It did not. That was really weird I thought.
Then you’ll never guess what happened next. It beckoned to me. It lifted up its hoof and shook my hand and then, for no reason I got on. It took me for a breathtaking ride. Then we almost hit a tree I screamed ahhghh. It swerved at the last second. That was the breathtaking part. It was going so fast. Then it leaned forward and I fell off. What a long neck. Then it sped away and I heard footsteps... it was my mom! “Honey what are you doing out here in the middle of the woods........”

The Beautiful Lake
One September day I was walking through the forest when I heard rippling water. So I walked in the direction And to my surprise I found a lake.
It was a very beautiful lake. There was gold and yellow and red and light breen and dark green trees all casting very beautiful images on the water.
There was a soft smell of salt water in the distance. Then there was the tangy smell of pine needle tree sap.
I could hear birds chirping, water rippling, trees swaying in the wind and leaves softly crunching under my feet. Oh what a beautiful place!
Then I walked closer to the lake and some pine needles brushed against me. ouch! then I found a kayak! Well, I thought I know how to kayak If only there was a life jacket and a paddle. Then, hidden slightly, there was a life jacket that looked just my size hanging on a bush! I started looking around by where I found the jacket and then ouch! I had stepped on something sharp and guess what it was a paddle! So I hopped in and started paddling to the island.
When I got there I wondered how I would park the kayak. Well there was some string attached to the front of the kayak, if only I had something to attach it to. Well there is this stake I have in my pocket, hey thats it! So I hammered in the stake and then I tied the kayak to the island but just then I heard my mothers voice calling me into lunch. maybe tomorrow I can explore the island. So I set off home!

The Sharpening Problem
The problem is that kids are dropping the sharpener. Also, we are sharpening too often.
It is a problem because lots of people are dropping their shavings on the floor from the teacher's pont of view. From the students' point of view it is a problem because people are dropping their sharpeners and it's very distracting and stps us from doing our work.
The solution that the teacher came up with is giving us a slip of paper that she calls a sharpening pass. What happens is when you need to sharpen your pencil, you have to go up to the teacher and let her sign your pass. We only get to sharpen once a day.
I do not like the solution that the tacher came up with. I don't like it because what if you were in the middle of a big test and your pencil broke and you had already used your sharpener pass and you had run out of pencils. Then what would you do?
I can only think of one solution and that probably would be my best. What I would do is let us sharpen twice, once in the morning and once in the afternoon. That is the best solution I can come up with.

Heir Apparent
Heir Apparent takes place in the future. There are four ways that you can tell that it takes place in the future. First, she rides in a bus that drives without a bus driver. Second, the bus talks to her. Third, it knows her name. Also the game called Heir Apparent that she plays makes her mind think she’s actually in the game.
This story takes place on the framland, then changes to other places. For instance it changes to a castle, then under some graves, and then back to the castle.
The main characters are Giannine Bellisario, Wulfgar, Abas, and Kenric. Giannine is fifteen years old, is a female, and is the hero of the book. Wulfgar, Abas, and Kenric are princes in the game.
Heir Apparent is about a girl named Giannine Bellisario who gets this certificate for her birthday to go to the Rasmussem gaming center. So she goes to the gaming center and chooses a game called Heir Apparent.
So she goes in the game. Then the people who want children to stop playing the games somehow break in and do logs of damage to the gaming center. So now if she dies, instead of the game ending, she has to start over. The only way she can get out of the game is to win it.
My favorite scene in the book was when she had to answer three riddles from a dwarf. When she got on wrong she fell down a chute, then had to climb back up the steps and try again.
My favorite character is Giannine Bellisario. I like her because she has a good attitude and is ready for adventure.
I would recommend this book because it is really good and makes you want to keep reading it until you finish it. That’s why I would recommend this book.

My Birth Order
The nice things about my birth order is that I get to have more friends over, and my sister only gets to play with my friends. Another nice thing about my birth order is I get to have my own room. I also get to have more candy, which is a delightful thing.
The things that I don’t really like is that I get into fights with her sometimes and then my mom comes over and stops us fighting, and usually she wins. Also I have lots of homework, and she has none. She also gets to watch movies and I hardly get to watch any because I’m alot older than her.
The things I am looking forward to in the future is me getting to hang out with friends without my parents. Also I’m looking forward to maybe being in a guitar band. That’s what I am looking forward to when I grow up.
That is the story of my birth order and how I feel about it.

The Fire
One morning I woke up and there was a fire in my room. Oh no! I thought. It was very scary moment for me. Our safe meeting place was at the mailbox. I hoped I could get out in time. The fire was behind the door almost into my room so I closed the door. hopefully that would give me enough time to escape. First I undid the screen that was easy enough. Then I opened the windows. It was snowing. I hoped the rest of my family would be safe. Good thing I knew how to open the window. My plan was easy enough their was a little ledge under my window thank goodness. I’ve been out on the ledge before. So I hopped down and then it was about a 4 foot drop. I got down and ran up to the mailbox. Right behind me was my family. I could hear the fire engine. I hope we don’t have to get a new house!

The Secret Trapdoor
Joseph always did everything his mom told him to do except for when it came to cleaning his room. It was about two years since he had ever cleaned his room.
It was one special autumn day when Joseph couldn’t get out of his room. There were too many toys in the way. He tried to move the toys out of the way of the door, but they just come sliding back down. Finally, he realized that he had to clean his room.
After awhile, Joseph found something metal. “Hmmmmm,” Joseph thought, “I don’t remember having a metal toy.” He tried to pull it up. He pulled as hard as he could. “...creak...” A basketball, his favorite toy, rolled down the steps that were uncovered by his opening the trapdoor. “Oh, no”, Joseph moaned, “my favorite basketball.” He stared at the steps leading down into blackness. “Hello?” he called. He heard nothing but the sound of his own heartbeat thumping in his chest. He tentatively put a foot on the first step. He stood there for a few moments, waiting for something terrible to happen, but nothing did. He walked down the secret steps

The Water Party
I wore a bathing suit to the party underneath my shorts.
When I got there I pulled off my shorts so that there was only my bathing suit on. Then I ran into the back yard and started to play with the the people at the water party. The people there were Gabe, Teddy, Thomas, and me.
They had a miniature pool, slip and slides, three of them that you could race people on, and a miniature slide with a sprinkler at the tp. It was a really nice water party.
First I hung out in the pool for a while. Then I squirted everybody with water guns. Then I ried the slide. It was really fun. Then I went in the pool for a little bit, nice and relaxing!
So Thomas's dad came out and said "we are going to play a game called pudding tag."
So then we got out a bowl of chocolate pudding. Then the grownups that were there put their hands in the bucket and then we ran screaming away .... and the grownups ran after us!
I was tagged first. How they tagged you was like this: they rubbed pudding all over you. I got lots of it on me. I hated it.
Afterwards we got rinsed off with very cold water, brrrr, then I went home!
